Antique Haviland French Porcelain Vase

Item Details

An antique French porcelain vase by Haviland. This vase has a wide mouth, stout neck, wide shoulders over a tapered body, and a circular base. The glossy cobalt blue exterior is accented with gilded bands at the neck and base and hand-decorated with textured floral and foliate motifs in a metallic finish. The verso bears an 1882 green ‘CFH GDM’ under glaze mark, used by Charles Field Haviland.

Condition

- moderate to heavy loss of gilt work to rim and base, surface marks, spotting, and discoloration throughout, minor wear and sticker residue to verso.
