Hand-Knotted Persian Herati Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian contemporary area rug. This wool rug features an allover herati pattern incorporating stylized palmettes, flowers, leaves and geometric vines over a midnight blue field. The palette is midnight blue, rust, ochre, emerald and cream. Framing the field are compound borders, including meander patterns and diagonal stripes over ochre or rust. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
