Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian area rug. This wool contemporary rug features a bold Persian Bakhtiari-inspired design in a palette of garnet, cream, deep midnight blue/black, taupe and sapphire with orange highlights. It begins with a star medallion at the center of a borderless, garnet and sapphire field filled with large-scale, assertive palmettes, flowers, leaves and vines. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
