Item Details
A hand-knotted Baluch contemporary long rug. This wool rug features a bright, bold design incorporating a variety of Baluch motifs in a palette of yellow, lime, vermillion, shades of darker green, black and gray, with highlights in fuchsia, electric blue and hot pink. Motifs include stylized oak leaves, flowering plants, geometric rosettes, ram’s horns and geometric fillers over black, lime and olive. Compound borders include yellow rosettes over black. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
