Hand-Knotted Persian Village Geometric Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian village accent rug. This wool rug features a bold, geometric design in a wide-ranging palette leaning toward darker hues with significant use of orange. The field consists of horizontally oriented rows of rectangles in different colors, each row separated by a monochrome stripe in teal, gray, rust, orange, mocha or cerulean. Framing the field are four traditional borders, featuring florets, X’s and abstract motifs, a running water pattern and black and white checks. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with a mixture of wool/goat hair and cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
