Chinese Famille Noire Style Hand-Painted Ginger Jars
Item Details
A pair of Chinese famille noire style hand-painted ginger jars. Each ginger jar has a fitted lid with a finial to top and a tapered hexagonal body. The jars are decorated with pond motif decoration including lily pads, dragonflies, and swans in a palette of red, blue, green, and cream on a black ground. Each jar bears an apocryphal Kangxi reign mark, however, they were produced in the mid to late 20th century.
