A non-functioning reproduction of a Prohibition era Thompson submachine gun. It features a wood stock, handle and barrel with metal sight and army green strap. Included is a Lyman Gun Sight Company rear sight, marked ‘Made by Lyman…’ The Thompson submachine gun had a variety of informal names, including the ‘Chicago Typewriter’ and the ‘Tommy Gun’. It is among the most well-known firearms in history, due to its popularity with the military, civilians, police and criminals during the Prohibition era.
