A mid-century oil painting on canvas attributed to listed artist John Friedlinger (Hungarian; born 1890). The still life piece depicts an opulent table setting that includes a golden goblet, a metal ewer with faceted crystal stopper and a Russian-style tea glass with silver cup holder, arranged over layers of draped fabric along with an assortment of pears, apples and grapes. The work is signed ‘Friedlinger J.’ to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a Baroque-style wooden frame with moulded foliate embellishments and gold tone finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- to fair; minor surface wear, discoloration and marks to composition; scuffs, nicks, cracks and edge wear to frame; no backing paper present; toning to canvas verso.
