Known for his modern abstract style and his WPA murals of the Depression era, Yaeger was influenced by European modernists such as Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, and Giorgio de Chirico. Yaeger’s work has been exhibited at many institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Corcoran Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among others.

- wear to edges of paperboard; surface wear present to painting; minor creasing to corners of paperboard; dust and accretions present to painting; under drawing visible through painting; staining to upper right and upper left of painting; heavy crease to upper left corner of paperboard.
