Antique Bronze P.H. Mourey Bronze D'ore Mantel Clock
Item Details
An antique P.H. Mourey bronze d’ore mantel clock with Sevres style plaques, circa 1830. The clock features a Neoclassical base with a motif of ribbons and grapes, a center porcelain putti plaque and a short pedestal with round side plaques. The back of the clock is engraved with “PH Mourey 68”. Phillip Mourey was a French sculptor (1840-1910) who worked with Japy Freres and Company. Japy Freres and Company was a clockmaker in the 19th century.
