An antique wood engraving by printmaker Edward Lagarde and published in Harper’s Weekly, after a painting titled Snap the Whip by American artist Winslow Homer (1836-1910). This relief print depicts a group of children playing a game in a grassy field in the foreground of a rustic cabin. The work is signed in-plate by Homer in the lower right corner. It is presented under glass with a linen mat in a simple wooden frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

- discoloration to surface of print; minor scratches to surface of frame.
