4' x 6' Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Bijar Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Bijar rug. This rug features a deep blue field ornamented densely with intricate abstract patterning in tangerine, teal, umber, scarlet, and cream, as well as a large medallion to the center. The medallion features intricate abstract patterning in coordinating colors on cream, inside of which is crimson, followed by cobalt blue, each layer showing a distinct crenelation pattern to the trim. The center field is bound on all sides by a compound border showing abstracted forms in coordinating colors. The rug is finished on both sides with a single-wrapped selvedge and to both ends with a natural warp fringe.
