Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Settee

Item Details

An antique Victorian Eastlake walnut settee. The settee features a shaped crest rail with incised, carved, and pierced elements over two upholstered panels flanking a splat with carved and pierced motifs flanked by fluted lines. Curved cabriole style arms with replaced armrests flank the padded seat, which rises on turned legs atop casters. The sides of the arms and reverse of the back panels are upholstered in a white and pink floral fabric with nailhead trim while the back panels and seat are upholstered in a black fabric with nailhead trim. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

- nicks, scratches, and other surface marks consistent with age and use; replaced wood armrests; reupholstered; wear to fabric.
