Vintage Louis XV Style Mahogany Vanity with Mirror

Item Details

A vintage Louis XV style mahogany vanity with a mirror. The veneered frame features a pair of scrolled uprights with floral-carved, base terminals supporting an oval mirror with beveled edges. Directly below is a shaped work surface with a serpentine, front edge over a conforming apron with a machine-dovetailed drawer. The drawer front is fitted with brass tone, ring pulls and the vanity rises on foliate-carved, cabriole legs ending in elevated, whorl feet. The back is stamped ‘771’ and ‘11’.
