*A semi-antique wool power-loomed Alexander and Sons Axminster area rug. The rug was designed with a floral motif and cottage scene throughout and features a single royal blue floral detailed border. Throughout the charcoal grey field of the rug there are tones of coral, yellow, slate grey, purple, and greyish-white that detail the floral and cottage scenes. To each corner of the rug there is a circular design mimicking the colour scheme seen throughout the rug depicting a blossoming tree with a bird perched in the branches. The item is marked to the underside, ‘Alexander Smith and Sons/Axminster’.
