Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Mashhad area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of crimson, midnight blue, golden yellow, green, white, cobalt blue, coral-pink, and orange. It has a large circular rosette medallion on a field patterned with lancet leaves, curvilinear vines, and palmettes. It is framed with carnation meander and herati pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Marked to the verso.
