A still life painting, rendered with oil on canvas, by Vanguard Studios artist Lee Reynolds, the trade name of Lee Burr (b. 1936). This warm, painterly piece depicts slices of watermelon arranged next to a vase overflowing with flowers, a short knife resting on the table next to them. The piece is signed ‘Lee Reynolds’ to its lower right corner and is mounted in a wooden frame with a hanging wire to its verso.

- fair; shallow dents throughout painting; foxing to verso; wear and accretions to frame.
