1933 Newsletters, Scrapbook of Chicago's "Century of Progress" Exposition

A group of 1933 Progress newsletters and a large scrapbook of Chicago’s Century of Progress exposition. Plus, a 1933 hardcover book, Alder Planetarium and Astrological Museum by Philip Fox. Inside the book are a newspaper clipping of a ‘camera to the stars’ and a black and white photo of a street lamp. The group of newsletters dates from march 1932 to April 1934 and it is titled, Progress A Century of Progress 1833-1933 International Exposition Chicago illustrates the the various exhibits and promotional activities for the show. The large scrapbook is inscribed and it contains various mementos of the show such as staff participation certificates, identification cards, a ‘True Guide Through the World’s Fair’ pamphlet, several colored and black and white postcards and photos of the people, exhibits, maps and events of the Exposition. The back of the book shows several photos of trains, locomotives and engines.
Condition
Good consistent with age and use. Most of the scrapbook is intact with a few photos unglued.
