A 1781 stated sixteenth edition of A Voyage Round the World in the Years MDCCXL, I, II, III, IV by George Anson. Printed for W. Strahan, J. Rivington and Sons, et al. in 1781 in London. Includes three fold out maps: ‘A Chart Shewing the Track of the Centurion Round the World’ (frontispiece), Plate XIII: ‘A Chart of the Southern Part of South America’ (p. 10), and Plate XLI: ‘A Chart of the Pacific Ocean from the Equinoctial to the Latitude of 391/2 d’ (colophon). Though the plates are numbered, a colophon titled ‘Advertisement’ notes that only these three charts were included in this quarto edition and that the complete sets of the other plates were offered for purchase for 7 shillings. (p. 370). Bound in full leather which has been restored with a completely replaced spine with gilt spine ruling and titles.
