5' x 8' Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Bakhtiari Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari rug. This rug features a rich and earthy carmine toned field densely ornamented with organic patterning in navy blue, cream, pale peach, stone grey, and coffee brown. At the center is an ivory tone lozenge medallion showing vine-like patterning as well as checkered motifs. The center field is punctuated by floral patterned corner spandrels and bound by a broad principal border showing a resolved floral pattern similar to the field pattern and is flanked on both sides by identical minor borders in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvedge to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
