Antique Pine Two-Piece Stepback Cupboard, Late 19th Century
Item Details
An antique pine two-piece stepback cupboard, late 19th century. The upper section features an ogee-molded cornice above a pair of hinged, three-light doors before two adjustable shelves. The lower section has a projecting, rectangular top overhanging two aligned, drawers and a blind, two-door cabinet. The doors are fitted with cast iron latches while the drawers have white, porcelain knobs. The cupboard rises on stile legs with a shaped, front skirt flanked on the sides by strips of applied molding. It is unmarked by the maker.

Condition
- to fair; scattered scratches, scuffs, and nicks as would be expected with age and use; latch on upper doors does not catch; drawer knobs are possibly replacements; glass appears to be old, if not original, with expected waviness and imperfections.
