7' x 10' Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Tabriz Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Tabriz rug. This rug features a rich crimson-red field with a large central medallion which is ornamented with stylized floral patterning in a vibrant color palette of emerald green, navy, cobalt, ivory, mustard, petal pink, and deep sienna. The field is trimmed by large compound spandrels ornamented with coordinating colors and floral patterning with an improvisational crenelation to each. The rug’s resolved principal border shows repeated stylized floral motifs and is flanked on both sides by identical minor borders. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvedge to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
