An original pastel drawing on paper titled October Trees by listed Ohio artist Phillip Joseph (20th century). This drawing depicts a forest of tall trees as the undergrowth begins to bud in spring, rendered in textural marks and a rich, earthy palette. This piece is signed in graphite to the lower right center. It is presented behind a tan mat with a brown liner, in a mottled gold tone frame and is ready to hang with a wire. A label from the Miller Gallery, Cincinnati, indicating the artist, title and medium is attached to the verso.
