Antique George I Style Chinoiserie Dining Chairs
Item Details
A set of antique George I Chinoiserie style dining chairs. The set includes four side chairs and one armchair. The chairs have serpentine crest rails with finely carved shell motifs, upholstered backs and seats with yellow velvet upholstery, and the seat frames and front legs are embellished with shallow carved flowers. The chairs rest on cabriole legs. No maker’s marks.

Condition
- surface marks, scratches, dings, scuffs, wear; shell carvings on crest rails have evidence of worm holes; one back foot has a large broken off piece; seats of some are not completely attached; upholstery has wear, discoloration throughout; chair seats appear to be replacements
