Handwoven Anatolian Wool Kilim Runner
Item Details
A handwoven Anatolian wool kilim runner. This long and narrow carpet has been worked in abrashed shades of mustard, olive, slate, salmon, indigo, midnight, persimmon, and ivory. A large pendant medallion infilled with geometric floral motifs is flanked by large scale palmettes and diamond medallions.The spandrels are infilled with stylized flower and vine segments. The multiple wraparound borders include combs, stepped diamonds, and lozenge devices. The selvedges are overcast and there is a barber pole stripe in the skirt above the fringe at each end. The rug is not marked.
