Brass Reproduction After Frederic Remington "Wooly Chaps"

A reproduction brass sculpture titled Wooly Chaps after well listed artist Frederic Remington. This sculpture depicts a cowboy seated on a bucking horse, readying a lasso to throw onward. It is signed in-mold and presented atop an oval shaped marble base. Adhered to the base is a brass tone plaque specifying the artist’s name.

Remington was an American painter, illustrator, writer, and sculptor who specialized in depicting the Old American West. He concentrated on the last quarter of the 19th century American West and created images of cowboys, American Indians, and cavalry.

- rust present to reins; very minor surface wear to base.
