Period George II Oak Chest on Stand, Circa 1760

Item Details

A period George II oak chest on stand, in two parts, circa 1760. This outstanding chest features a molded cornice above two aligned short drawers and three graduated long drawers with brass batwing pulls and escutcheons. The chest has a vertical plank back, and pine secondary woods with dovetail construction throughout. The stand has a scalloped apron with cylindrical legs to pad feet.

Condition

-some damage to top corners and separation of planks as to be expected. Some worm damage to secondary woods.
