Steve Steigman "Blown Away" Illuminated Neon Light Poster
Item Details
A Steve Steigman Blown Away illuminated neon light poster. The original ad was conceived by Lars Anderson for Maxell cassettes and it began as a two-page advertisement in Rolling Stone Magazine. Steve Steigman was the photographer, and the iconic image shows a man in sunglasses, seated in a Le Corbusier Grand Confort L2 chair with a martini beside him. His hair is blown back, the lamp shade is askew, and his martini is tumbling from the force of the music being projected. This print is illuminated with a neon light, used as a visual demonstration of the sound waves from the speakers. The piece is marked ‘Steve Steigman The Weaver Gallery’ to the lower right with ‘Concept Lars Anderson – Photography Steve Steigman 1979’ to the lower left. It is presented in a black wooden frame with a wire to the verso.
