A collection of twelve antique halftone lithograph prints titled Twelve New Gibson Girls designed by American illustrator Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944) and published in 1909 as a special run by P.F. Collier & Son publishing. They depict illustrations of the ‘Gibson Girl’ archetype of turn-of-the-century beauty. Each piece is signed, titled, and inscribed in plate with faux plate marks on each ground. The prints are presented in a red book cover.
Condition
- to Fair; discoloration and foxing throughout each ground; holes throughout spine of cover; discoloration, foxing, surface abrasions, and wear to edges of cover.
