A rooster and the fox carved folk art sculpture by Lonnie and Twyla Money (Laurel County, Kentucky, 20th, 21st century). One of Aesop’s Fables tells the story of the rooster and a fox ad this sculpture depicts this story in carved form. There is a red and white fox, sneaking off with a polka dot rooster in his mouth, complete with facial features and hand painted distinctive markings in a storybook style. The underside of the fox’s feet read “Lonny & Twyla” and ‘Money’.

Condition

- one of the legs was broken but has been reattached.
