A hand-knotted Afghan Bokhara wool area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of garnet, camel, black, and ivory. The field is patterned with guls and cruciform shapes arranged in a lattice pattern and is framed with compound borders featuring a central border with rosettes. It has a lattice panel to each end, and is finished with overcast selvedges and natural wool warp fringe to each end. No visible maker’s marks are present.
