An oil painting on board of a girl holding a rabbit by Belgian artist Theodore Gerard (1829 – 1895) . This painting depicts a young girl holding a recently hunted rabbit by the foot with her dog watching her curiously. This work is signed to the lower right corner of the picture plane ‘Theodore Gerard 1876’. It is presented in an open wooden frame with a gold tone finish and a wire hanger to the verso.

Condition

- craquelure prevalent throughout the image; accretions to matte area; gold tone wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
