A vintage Queen Anne style mahogany desk and bench. The desk features a curved front edge with set back center drawer, which is dovetailed and trimmed in a raised band, with a pair of rosette brass pulls. The desk has left and right pedestals, each with a pencil drawer to the top and two letter drawers below. The pencil drawers also have raised trim, with the six drawers accented with dark brass bale pulls with rosette backs. The desk has ornate scrolled cabriole legs to the front and back, chamfered and fluted front corners with molded scrollwork detailing. The bench is in a complementary design with openwork raised sides, ornate cabriole legs and an upholstered seat. The pieces are companions to the bed, side cabinet, dressers and mirrors in other listings in this sale.
