Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, ivory, sepia, sapphire, emerald, cranberry, and black. The madder red colored field features a pole of three hooked hexagonal medallions ending in arrows, and infilled with rosettes. The field also features an abundance of eight pointed stars, and double cross motifs as well. Framing the field is an ivory grounded main border with a leaf and blossom meander, along with a pair of running dog guard borders, and a sawtooth minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
