Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of crimson, indigo, sky blue, ivory, ochre, rose, teal, wheat, and mocha. The crimson colored field begins with a central pendant medallion, and it features a flower filled vase to the ends, and edges. The field also features an abundance of floral sprays, and flowering branches throughout, along with sky blue and ivory layered spandrels edged in curled leaves. Framing the field is a main indigo grounded border designed with an ornate floral pattern, as well as a pair of chained, and floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
