Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Long Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of scarlet, ivory, indigo, wine, rose, sky blue, saffron, walnut, and wheat. The scarlet hued field features a pole of three diamond medallions ending in a pendant, and enclosed by an abundance of flowering branches. The field also features layered spandrels, and a picket design to the edges. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded Arab border, along with a running water, and a floral meander guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
