This plein air style landscape painting depicts a view from a hilltop of a blue river winding through a valley surrounded by rocky peaks. The work is signed on the verso by Cumbo. It is presented in a weathered gilt wood frame with a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

- small gap between stretcher and lower rail of frame; in painting throughout; cracking to paint; surface wear to frame consistent with age and use.
