Chinese Carved Octagonal Taboret with Marble Top

A Chinese octagonal taboret with a marble top. The taboret is made of elm wood with a dark stained finish. The octagonal top has a flush marble slab, and the edges have carved bead trim. The apron and the cabriole legs are lavishly carved and pierced with flowers, leaves and bamboo, and it rests on stylized lion paw feet.
