An early 20th-century etching with drypoint on paper titled Mytton Hall after an 1893 work by listed artist, surgeon and printmaker Francis Seymour Haden (British; 1818 – 1910). The piece depicts a shady tree-lined path leading to an arched doorway, rendered in expressive black lines against a cream ground. The work is signed ‘Seymour Haden 1893’ in plate to the lower right. It is centered over a tan paper backing, which is matted in cream and presented under glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing is marked with a mid-century framer’s sticker from United Picture Frame Co. of New York City.

- to fair; discoloration, toning and foxing to print and matting; stains to lower corners of print; nicks, wear and scratches to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper.
