An original still life oil painting on wood board by Edgar Hatten (1929-1990). The painting is done in thick, wide brush strokes and depicts an abstracted table top still life with plates and a vase in simple forms. The tonal palette in olive green, gold and brown with an accent in red is indicative of the artist’s early work as is the tin wood frame at the edge painted gold. The painting is signed on the lower left edge as well as the back.
