A set of thirteen engraved antique and vintage maps, many embellished with hand-colored accents. Featured are an assortment of English maps, some after engraver John Cary (British; 1754 – 1835), including maps of Bedfordshire, Dorsetshire, The Road from Salisbury to Campden, The Road from London to Shrewsbury, and London’s Spittle Fields (now Spitalfields). French maps in the set include maps of Maine-et-Loire, the Duchy of Brittany, Normandy, Orne and Loire Inférieure (Loire-Atlantique). Three of the maps are matted; all are presented loose and unframed.

Condition

- discoloration, foxing, stains and accretion to prints; wear, creases, bending, edge wear and small tears to paper; corners are creased to most items; prints are presented unframed.
