A Japanese woodblock print after listed Japanese artist Torii Kiyonaga (鳥居 清長, 1752-1815) titled Three Women in the Rain, from the series Current Manners in Eastern Brocade. This print depicts three elegant women in traditional costume standing the in the rain with paper umbrellas. This piece is presented behind glass in a white mat and black wood frame with hanging hardware. Kiyonaga formed his own style after he became chief of the Torii family and is known for his prints of beautiful ladies with elegant features in simple subdued colors.

Condition

- foxing present throughout ground; toning, foxing, and water spots present on matting; wear to corners of frame; gap in bottom right corner of frame; adhesive residue on verso of frame.
