A very large Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) Imari bowl with a subtly fluted shape and a scalloped rim. The substantial bowl is hand decorated in cobalt blue and iron red to illustrate landscapes with animals and dragons within various cartouches. All surrounding a floral medallion at the center.
