A copy oil painting after Sir Edwin Landseer’s iconic work ‘The Monarch of the Glen’. This unsigned painting depicts a red deer stag with large antlers among the Scottish Highlands. The stag stands in overgrown grass with mountain range to background illuminated by the setting sun. The painting is presented in a gold tone and black wood frame with a wire present to the verso for hanging purposes.

Condition

- puncture in the canvas to the lower center-right with media loss and visible canvas ground; numerous small pieces of visible canvas where the paint has chipped off, mostly to the the right and lower center margins.
