Autographed "The Circle" Pre-Broadway Engagement Theatre Poster
Item Details
An autographed offset lithograph poster advertising the pre-Broadway engagement of The Circle at the now-defunct Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore. The Circle, a comedy written by W. Somerset Maugham, had its original premier in London in 1921. This 1980s Broadway revival starred Sir Rex Harrison, Glynis Johns, and Stewart Granger. The poster is signed in ink by the three stars and their co-star Patricia Conolly. It is presented unmatted, under glass, in a black metal frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- toning to the paper with some fading of the ink of the autographs; black tone metal frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
