Hand-Knotted Persian Kashmir Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashmir area rug. This wool rug begins with a large floral medallion with attached shah abbasi to the center field along with each corner spandrel. The ivory ground is populated with swirling floral vines including boteh and lancet leaves worked in scarlet, caramel, onyx, olive, camel and merlot. Framing the rug are complementary floral designs in the field colors. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with honey colored long fringe at either end. It is labeled with a tag to the verso.
