Born in Bay City, Michigan, Mark Coomer studied art in Chicago and Detroit before eventually settling in Arizona. He is known for his paintings and serigraphs, often depicting street patioscapes and urban city scenes. Coomer did almost all of his own printing, limiting his editions to 100. His preferred ground for his prints was masonite board, which combined with the permanent nature of his oil-based inks, were advertised as “washable”. Coomer exhibited his paintings and limited edition serigraphs nationally, and many can be found in private collections and institutions including the Chicago Art Institute; Challis Galleries, Laguna Beach, California; and The West and Walter-Bimson Western Art Collection housed at the University of Arizona Museum of Art.

Francis Beaugureau studied art at at the Frederic Mizen Academy and the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a B-17 pilot in World War II, and after moving to Scottsdale, Arizona he worked as a commercial artist and portraitist. Beaugureau is known particularly for his western genre and aviation paintings, including his series of thirty oil paintings titled The Indian Wars in Arizona, 1846-1886.

- minor wear, stains and minor paint loss along the edges of boards; slight scratches and stains throughout the compositions; minor paper residue throughout Beaugureau’s serigraph.
