Antique Victorian Carved Oak Wardrobe
Item Details
An antique Victorian carved oak wardrobe. There is a carved, scrolled crest rail along the top, above a divided cabinet with recessed paneled doors, and a full-width drawer with pin and cove dovetails at the bottom. The cabinet interiors have shelves at the tops, and the drawer is fitted with ornate metal handles, and is lined with vintage Art Nouveau patterned paper depicting bouquets of flowers. There are shallow, carved accents to either side of the drawer, and the wardrobe rests on a molded base with bracket feet. The wardrobe comes with four metal and wood casters. One edge of a shelf is carved with the number ‘562’, otherwise no maker’s mark.
