Signed Wheel Thrown Stoneware Raku Fired Vase

Item Details

A signed, wheel thrown raku fired vase. The vase has an ovoid form with a defined rim and sharp shoulder, tapering to a wide base. It has been copper flashed in the raku firing process, giving an exceptional color range of bright, metallic copper reds, copper greens and blues with oranges and rose. It is illegibly signed and dated ‘2001’ to the underside over the black carbon trapping from the firing process.
