A circa 1960s serigraph on paper titled Two Red Boots on a Black Ground designed by well-listed Cincinnati-based Pop artist Jim Dine (born 1935). The piece depicts a pair of go-go boots rendered in bright red against a black ground. The work includes a title, date of 1965 and signature in plate along the edge of the right boot, with text of “Silk Screen from Banner by Jim Dine for Multiples Inc. 1968” printed to the verso. The print is presented framed and matted.

Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim Dine attended the Cincinnati Art Academy with instruction by Paul Chidlaw, then earned his BFA at Ohio University. He is considered one of the pioneers of Pop Art in the 1960s, and was included in the ground-breaking exhibition at the Norton Simon Museum titled New Painting of Common Objects, alongside other renowned artist such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His work has been collected by numerous art institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Walker Art Center and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, among others.
